Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LingoParent mobile application and related services (the "Service"), provided by APPOPAI LIMITED ("APPOPAI", "we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must have reached the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction and have the legal capacity to enter into a legally binding contract to use the Service. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
2. User Accounts
To access certain features, you may need to register an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. We may suspend or terminate an account if we suspect unauthorized use or a violation of these Terms.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
LingoParent offers optional auto-renewable subscription plans ("LingoParent Pro") that provide unlimited photo and voice recognition, access to advanced learning scenes, and premium native audio guidance.
- Billing & Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple Account or Google Play Account upon confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew for the same tier and duration unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Account Charging: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan.
- Free Trial: If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the free trial period will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that plan, where applicable.
- Cancellation & Management: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device account settings:
- iOS: Go to Settings > [Your Apple Account] > Subscriptions.
- Android: Visit Google Play Subscriptions or open the Google Play Store app and tap Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
- Refunds: All refund requests are subject to the policies of the respective app store (Apple Media Services or Google Play) through which the purchase was made. Deleting the app or your LingoParent account does not automatically cancel an ongoing subscription.
- Price Changes: We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price changes will take effect at the start of the next subscription period following reasonable prior notice to you, in accordance with applicable app-store rules.
- Standard EULA: On Apple platforms, your use of the application is also governed by the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA), unless superseded by these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:
- Use the Service for an unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law.
- Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, explicit, abusive, or infringes another person's rights, including photos of other people without appropriate permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service or its servers.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service, except where applicable law permits it.
- Automate access to the Service, including through bots or scrapers, without our written permission.
- Bypass usage limits, subscription checks, or other technical protections.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, graphics, and content excluding User Content, is the property of APPOPAI LIMITED and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial family learning purposes.
6. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses automated technologies, including image recognition, speech-to-text, and artificial intelligence, to generate learning materials. Results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for every age or context. The Service is provided for educational purposes only; review generated words, sentences, and other content before using them with a child and use your own judgment when relying on the Service. We do not guarantee that content is complete, accurate, or suitable for every context.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create or upload to the Service ("User Content"). You represent that you have the right to submit it. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, transmit, analyze, display, and process User Content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service, including photo recognition, generation of learning materials, saved learning records, and account synchronization. This license does not authorize us to publicly publish your private photos or use them to train AI models.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services, each subject to its own terms and privacy practices:
- Google Firebase — analytics, diagnostics, and app-integrity services.
- RevenueCat — subscription and receipt management.
- Apple Media Services — in-app purchases and subscriptions on Apple platforms.
- Google Play and device speech-recognition providers — purchases, subscriptions, and speech input on supported devices.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPOPAI LIMITED WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, OR DATA, ARISING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM USE OF THE SERVICE. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES OR LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LEGALLY BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other reasonable means when required. Your continued use of the Service after the changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, where permitted by law.
